About me and the blog

Hi, my name is Rachel Ball. Welcome to my blog, thanks for stopping by.

I used to be a school teacher but am now self-employed. I have written Sunday School material for Go Teach Publications. I have been a contributor to Go Teach Toddler books too.  I have also been involved in writing a Bible Story series for 3-7 year olds published by Child Evangelism Fellowship. These Story packs are available as a free download. Here’s a sample.

Here is a link to the Teach Kids website with more free resources.

From time to time I run workshops about telling Bible Stories at Toddler Groups. If you are interested in hosting or attending a workshop get in touch.

Each week in term time I run a toddler group with a team of people. I tell a Bible story, provide a fun craft and lead the song time. For the last few years I have also helped out at two other toddler groups telling Bible stories and making tea!

This blog is a collection of ideas for crafts, Bible stories and memory verses. Some ideas are very general, others are specific to a Bible story or season/celebration. I use pinterest to search for creative ideas and share the ideas that I love.

On the blog you will find PDF’s for several of the craft activities that are free to download.

In my free time my family keeps me busy and I enjoy dabbling in art and craft, especially crochet.

Comments are welcome. Please share your own ideas.

  1. I found you because I was trying to find out about the CEF work in Scotland, since I went there as a summer missionary with CEF in 1977, to Renfrew, and worked with the Somerville’s. Your blog is wonderful. My husband and I are on the CEF board here in Quebec with Jenne Phillips and Mary Porter. We work in french, but your blog is still helpful and very uplifting, thank you so much.

    1. hi barbara, how lovely to hear from you! I have looked at the CEF Quebec site and see that you are part of the Truth Chasers Club.
If you would like to know more specifics about the CEF work here and in Scotland then send us an email and we will get back to you. The contact email is on the blog.
thank you for your encouraging words about the blog – you made my day!
      Best wishes, Rachel

  2. Hi Rachel,
I illustrate for Go Teach – have done a few toddler illustrations, so I’ve been sent sample copies. Just wanted to say I really like the way the toddler lessons are told – really child friendly!

    1. Hi Kirsty, I really enjoyed being part of the Toddler Group Lessons team. I like your illustrations that you’ve done for Go Teach very much. We use the lessons in our Sunday school. I’ve had a look at your website – will be putting a link to it on the blog 🙂

      1. I’m so pleased you are all fine – we are too xx We have had an extremely busy year so I haven’t had much time for blogging. I expect I’ll be able to do a little more over the winter.
        xx
