Nehemiah Builds the Wall (Mr Keep Going) – Toddler Bible Story script
Say hello to Nehemiah! He lived a long, long time ago.
Nehemiah had a big job to do. The walls of the big city of Jerusalem were all broken down. Everything was a mess. God gave Nehemiah the job or organising a rebuild. But he had never built anything before!
Nehemiah said, ‘Yes I will rebuild the walls’. He asked people to help him and they got started. It was really hard work. Lots of people helped but there were some who thought, ‘ We are too important to do any building work.’
Did that stop Nehemiah? No. He kept going.
Say hello to Sanballat. He didn’t like God. He didn’t like Nehemiah and he certainly didn’t like the wall being built. ‘I will stop Nehemiah’, said Sanballat. He began to make fun of Nehemiah, ‘you don’t know how to build. Your wall is rubbish! If a fox jumps on it it’s going to fall down.’
Did that stop Nehemiah? No. He kept going.
Nehemiah asked God to help him and he trusted God and he kept going. Nehemiah is Mr Keep Going!
He didn’t stop building until the wall was finished!
